I was babysitting my friend Jeanna's kids recently.  Her 3yo daughter didn't want to stay with me and was having a little trouble having a good attitude.  I was trying to distract her by finding things to do.  She didn't want to do any of the things that I suggested until I mention dress up.  We picked out one of my shirts to put on her.  I did up her hair, put makeup on her, and painted her nails.  (Keep in mind, I wouldn't normally recommend putting makeup on a little girl like this.  I just did it for something special.) Then we put some high heels on her.
