Scheduling

We are so not schedule people.  Actually let me rephrase that.  Eman and I are not schedule people.  If we get over scheduled, we start to stress.  Eman has been heard to say, "I just want one day with no schoolwork, nowhere to go, just to stay home and relax."  Kodi on the other hand like to jam pack his schedule.  He will ask me the night before and then again in the morning what we are going to do that day.  He wants to times and everything.  So, the big surprise is that I am actually going to attempt a schedule this year.  I have already got it laid out, but it may require tweaking based on how the day actually goes.  Usually we just kind of get up whenever and start work as we are ready.  If Eman is not up by 9am, then I do get him up so that we can start our together schoolwork.  This year we are actually going to do a more formal PE program.  Since we live where it is hot and humid 90% of the year, I have decided that we need to do it first thing in the morning and try and do it early.  Early for us that is.  Some of you will look and this schedule and think how late we do things, but to each his own.  Anyway so here is the schedule:

7:45am - Wake up, dress, make beds
8am - PE
8:30 - Shower, eat breakfast
9am - Bible
9:30 - Independent schoolwork
10am - English and History
10:30 - Finish up any other work
12pm - Lunch
12:30 - Chores
1pm - Free time

We will see how this works out and make adjustments from there.

We are not schedule people either, and yet, I always want one. I've written one out before, but I think it was way to rigid. I like your schedule. It would fit us nicely. (We are late sleepers) I think I am going to try a loose schedule this year. Good luck with yours!
