Home Again
 Mar. 9, 2008 - Last Thank You
Well, our Secret Sisters were finally revealed. My secret sister is Sharity.
Thank you Sharity. You have been a tremendous blessing. This was the last gift that I got from her.

It has some really great patterns in it. I can't wait to try some of them out. |

 Feb. 22, 2008 - Valentine's/Birthday Post #1
Even though Tamera absolved us of all obligations for the Secret Sister session, my Secret Sister has been kind enough to still send me things.
This is what she sent me for Valentine's day.

There are things to make Valentine's cupcakes and a couple of notepads there.
And this is what she sent for my birthday.

Thank you so much to my Secret Sister. |

 Jan. 28, 2008 - Secret Sister
 Jan. 11, 2008 - Prayer Requests
Even though I have taken on 3 cleaning jobs in the hopes of being able to save money, it hasn't worked out that way. Those jobs have been helping me to just stay afloat. I have had offers for a couple more jobs, but don't really feel like I have the time or energy for them, even though I really need the money. As it is I feel like I have not been doing a good enough job on the boys' school work, because of having to be gone too much.
I have really been standing on Proverbs 3:5-6 for the last few months. I am trying to trust that the finances to be able to start my business would come. One huge blessing is that my dad offered to pay for my exam.
Well this week, I have had some huge faith shakers. My dryer went out. I have no trees or posts to hang a clothesline in the backyard to take advantage of this lovely sunshine. Usually I get all my laundry out of the way in one day. That is just the way I prefer it. Well, I am doing a load a day and hanging the clothes on hangers all over my house. On my shower rod, the extra space in the boys' closets, on my ceiling fan, and on the rod above my washer.
My garbage disposal recently went out. It seems that it has rusted out and had a huge problem that means it can't be fixed. The whole assembly will have to be replaced.
On Tuesday, my babysitter called. She went to the dr. and her blood pressure was really high. She had a bad pap smear. So they are doing a biopsy, etc. on her. Her boyfriend and she decided that it would be best if she quit babysitting and selling Avon to focus on her health for right now. I was able to find someone to watch the boys for the following day, but don't know what I am going to do beyond that.
And as if that isn't bad enough, last night when I went to go grocery shopping, my car wouldn't start. I had a friend come look at it. It doesn't look like something relatively inexpensive either. Like a battery, starter, or alternator. It sounds like major engine problems.
And to top it off I am PMSing, which makes everything look even worse.
So to my Secret Sister (BTW thanks for the card, I got it today.) and the rest of you. Please keep me in your prayers. Thanks. |

Dec. 19, 2007 - To My Secret Sister
Thank you for the wonderful gifts. The boys loved the candy.
To the rest of you: K went to the mailbox and said that there was a package that smelled funny in there. This was what was inside:

For some reason the whole picture doesn't want to load.
This is what was inside the small package:

This is what K thought smelled funny. I thought it smelled awesome. It is honeysuckle soap, one of my favorite scents. If you missed it, back in like March I posted pictures of my honeysuckle plant.

Dec. 7, 2007 - Thank You to My Secret Sister.
Thank you for the very nice bookmarker. I wanted to post a picture of it, but have not had the time to do that yet.
The not was very thoughtful and it was obvious that you have taken the time to read my blog. Not just current posts, but ones from before the Secret Sister session started. |
