So here we are, new to homeschoolblogger.com but certainly not new to homeschooling. I've had a page set up for us over on myspace but will be soon closing that one down to focus on this one. Less creeps on here (I hope!)
The new year is soon to begin, and I'm having a ball working on lesson plans. Science has me so excited! We'll be planting our own garden, including sunflower houses, pole bean teepees and hopefully a butterfly paradise. It's so fun to see my kids be amazed and interested in those things which I myself am interested in and amazed by.
On the much more mundane side, Katy has got to get multiplication down! She's gotten into this funk lately where she doesn't even want to try to think about how to figure stuff out, she just whines and gripes. Ah...early puberty? And she's decided of late that she doesn't like to read anymore. This from the child who used to prefer books to toys, TV and everything else. Argh.
But anyway, not going to let any of it get me down. It's probably just a stage. They usually are. And we've survived thus far.
Love to all,
