"In Christ Alone" In Christ alone my hope is found This is song our church just recently sang...not only is it beautiful to sing, but the lyrics are even more powerful. I can't suggest any where for you to listen to it, because the only time I have heard it sung by "a group," that was very contemporary, which I don't particularly like. :) But just reading the words is enough, don't you think?? "I, even I, am the Lord; And there is no savior besides Me." Isaiah 43:11 ~Missie~

Hola, Amigos! "Ella tiene un gato." Yes, my friends, that means in Spanish (or at least I hope it means), "She has a cat." That isn't very original, but I have just recently begun the task of learning Spanish. As of now, we are learning the names of various objects, places, things, ect. and putting them together to form sentences. Although quite frustrating at times, I am enjoying this new subject more than I thought I would. So, that is the main "what's new?" in my life. ☺ •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Now changing subjects, have any of you had experience in the hobby of gardening? I have decided to plant a vegetable garden this year, but because I have had no prior experience in this area, I am seeking advice from those who have on what is easiest to start out with, tips, etc. Any suggestions? ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• At the beginning of February, I began following a plan to read the Bible through in one year. Divided up into daily readings, I am praying that this will become a part of my everyday walk with the Lord; however, after missing a day "here or there," I became a little anxious and was thinking, "Man, I have some big-time 'catching-up' to do." As I was discussing this with my mother, she helped me realize that I had been adding my Bible reading to my daily "checklist." I was doing it more because I needed to get it "checked off" for that day, not because I desired to spend time with the Lord in His Word. As I have been pondering upon this thought, I realize now that getting the Bible read through in exactly one year shouldn't be my goal. My desire should be wanting to spend time reading my Father's Word and wanting more-and-more of it!! I continuously thank the Lord for Godly parents who guide me in wisdom and truth. ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• Anyways, these are the "happenings" of recently, and I have another one coming up on Monday! My grandparents are coming in to celebrate my birthday, so they should be arriving here in a few minutes; therefore, I will now say, "Adious, amigos!" ••••••••••**EDIT**••••••••• Something I just found...a giveaway at The Stay-At-Home Missionary blog. This giveaway, which I found through Emily Rose's blog,, is being hosted during the author's "Modest Fashion Week." There are some very cute and modest items being given away, so go check it out now!! ••••••••••••**••••••••••••• Blessings! ~Missie~ |

Hi Everyone! Well, I feel I have to apologize again. How long is this going to go on? :) I am posting less frequently now because of everything I am involved in (mostly school) right now. Anyways, just a reminder that The Winter Bundle Giveaway is still going on at Jocelyn's blog, "A Pondering Heart." This week, one of the items she is giving away is a Pride and Prejudice DVD set. Whether you know this or not, I am an avid fan of this movie...just love it! So, you might want to go check that out.
There is a video I want to share with you guys, but I am having problems getting it on here. So, that's going to have to wait. Anyways, I pray that each of you has a blessed day, and that the Lord will bless you all with strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow! Lovingly, ~Missie~

We have so enjoyed this...our country is so dark...we pray for our government officials, America's citizens, our freedom, our family, and etc., etc. Only God can change people's hearts... May the Lord bless each of you as only He can!! Happy New Year! ~Missie~ |

Miss Emily Rose tagged me a while back, and I had failed to do it since I was so busy; however, I have now found some time and will proceed to do it. To participate in the tag is quite simple: • Post the six to ten things that you do on a daily basis Well, there's probably more than 6-10 things I do daily, so I'll just pick out of those to list.
O.k. I am going to tag:
Oh! I was going to ask all of you to "hop" on over to Lizzie's blog. I assisted her in setting it up the other day, and I know she would so appreciate meeting some new friends. Have fun with the tag! Merry Christmas! ~Missie~ |

Last night, we were watching the beginning of a show about the history of Thanksgiving. Yes, they discussed the Indian's thanksgiving; what we can be thankful for; family; food; etc.; but, they left out the most important part. Thanksgiving is a day of giving thanks to our God for all of the many blessings He bestows upon His children. So, not only today, but also throughout each day of the year, give God thanks for His everlasting love and unending mercy. "Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song." Psalm 95:2 Happy Thanksgiving to each and every one of you! May your days be blessed to the fullest!! Lovingly, ~Missie~ |

Miss Emily Rose is hosting on her blog "A Homemade Christmas" which is to be held each Thursday until January 1st. Today will be my first to participate in this fun little event, and I am hoping to continue to take part in "A Homemade Christmas, though it may not be every week. For this week, I decided to post about the fun, furry, and fuzzy scarves I have made on what is called "The Knifty Knitter." This tool is an easy-to-use way to create the cutest and cuddliest scarves plus many other fun items which I have yet to attempt. Below is the project on I am now working on...with it, are the other sizes available with the Knifty Knitter:
The pictures following are previous scarves I have completed:
These have proven to be great gifts, and are not only are practical but also stylish. Furthermore, they are so enjoyable to create! If you would enjoy participating in this event yourself, visit Miss Emily's blog for more details. Don't forget to sign her Mr. Linky once you post! Blessings to your day! ~Missie~ |
