Jesus,
Thank you for coming to earth. Thank you for growing up from baby to adult as a human and yet being God! Thank you for giving your time and energy to just be with people. Helping them, healing them, talking, playing crying with them. And yet in spite of all that you did, thank you for resting and praying and showing us by example the importance of doing these things too. I am so thankful that you saw to it to have your life on earth recorded. What an encouragement to be able to read the account of your birth and life, your death, resurrection and ascension!
Thank you for loving me and showing me how to love. Only by resting in YOU can I love others. I want to repeat again what you wrote in Corinthians 13 about love. You ARE love so I want to use your name here:
Jesus is patient and kind. Jesus is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. Jesus does not demand His own way. Jesus is not irritable, and He keeps no record of when He has been wronged. He is never glad about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Jesus never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
(1 Cor. 13:4-7)
Jesus, I love you,
I worship and adore you.
Glorify your name in all the earth.
Thankfully,
Libby
