Shane went out for a walk last week in the morning and came home saying, "Let's go on a picnic". There were lots of clouds, making the sun less intense so it was a perfect day to get out to our favorite picnic spot just down the road and outside of town.
Everyone smiling around their sandwich eating...Notice the dog tied up AWAY from the food? :)
Here's a close up of Humphrey our dog. He had a BLAST running around out there!
Space to RUN!!!
Some of the view around us. Those are Eucalyptus trees there.
From one point you can see the airport really well. We saw a plane take off and another land.
"Mom, look what I caught!"
I remember when we bought this hat for HIM!
We played a little frizbee with the dog and just walked around looking at the view. Heidi was a little overwhelmed by the wind at some points but enjoyed running around checking things out. I think we need to go there more often! It is just so nice to get out of the city and away from so many people and NOISE and enjoy God's creation here in the Huanuco valley.
Looks like you guys had a great day out. We all need that once in a while.
We are blessed to live in a pretty secluded area. During the week, it's so quiet and peaceful we can forget that we even have neighbors. Right now, however (Saturday night) I can hear two different bands going -- one east of us and one west.
Our pastor says we're so blessed to live outside the village. They have to deal with folks wandering by at all hours and people playing secular music and speaking "groserias" until the wee hours because they live in the village by the church.
I like your coffee mug! After my favorite coffee mug hit the concrete floor (and didn't break!!!) I decided to delegate it as my pen cup and put it on my nightstand. I can't seem to keep a favorite cup more than a few months around here!
Hope you get some relaxing time this weekend!
Dios te bendiga, hermana!
