Any suggestions????

I'm so bad at blogging...Since my hubby was going to be out late tonight, I had planned on making a cup of tea and posting something.  Well, my older 2 chitlins begged and pleaded for me to play them boggle...just to 50 points.  Of course, this takes almost an hour as they make up all sorts of weird words and then spend 15 minutes each round with the Websters 1828 dictionary trying to find them.  Anyways, we were just finishing the last round when a lady who use to go to our church came by.

She said she had a room my husband could rent.  I looked at her puzzled and said, "Huh?"  That word works in Spanish as well as English.  She said Daniel wanted a room to rent.  I  asked her why...she said "to live in".  I said, "Daniel wants to move out?"  She laughed at me and said "No"  And then was laughing so much she couldn't tell me what she was talking about.  Apparently Daniel found 2 families today who are living in a van and want a place to rent and he was trying to find them something.  Anyways, after visiting and witnessing to her, it was already 10 pm.  And at this stage of my pregnancy, my eyes are only 1/4 open at this time of night.

But I would like to get some input from anyone!  Little Lockwood #11 (a boy) is due next month and we need a name.  We have the middle name... Edward.  We are giving him that name after Daniel's best friend who died suddenly and unexpectedly last summer (he was only 30).    We like to give our children Bible names for their first name, and we can't decide.  Daniel likes John...and I am very willing to go with that (even though I like names with more syllables)  I like Micaiah.  Any suggestions?  Our other boys names are Timothy, Elijah, Benjamin, Isaiah, Josiah, Noah, and Nehemiah.

We also have siblings named Jeremiah, Joshua, Joel, Joseph, Jonathan, Andrew, Stephen, Philip, Samuel and Micah... and nephews named Zechariah, Caleb, David, Beniah, and Asher.  So we want something other than those since they are in the immediate family.

Any suggestions???  :)  Please! :)

I always loved the name Obadiah (it means "serving God"). I was raised as Quaker and that is a popular biblical name among Quakers. You have alreay used my fav boy names~Timothy, Benjamin, and Elijah. This is a fun name site. http://www.biblebell.org/names.html

Dawn

Hi! It's been nice "meeting" you this morning. I met you through Amy's blog (Dandelion Seeds). What an awesome blessing - 10 children with one on the way. I have seven children.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I love your names. We, too, use Biblical first names. We have Iszak, Gabryel, Abbigayle, Phoebie, Malakai, Chloie, and Ayden. You haven't used any of our names, so they are available. I just love the name Malakai, and would use it again if I hadn't already. *grin* I can't wait to find out what you decide!
I am glad that your husband doesn't want to move out - that'd be awful. It's funny that you were so confused and that she found such humor in it.
You have a beautiful family! I look forward to spending more time "visiting" soon.
Blessings, Beckie :o)

I love the name Malachi. Two of our boys (you--or your family members-- already have our other 3 boy names!) are Nathan and Ethan.

Congratulations :)

We have a Joseph Edward and it is beautiful. However, I can appreciate not wanting to use a family name that has already been "used". So, my husband and I have earmarked out next two sons as "Gabriel" and "Jonah". So my vote is for one of those two "next" wonderful names. Congratulations on your next blessing.

If I had another son, his name would be Michaiah.

I just found your blog. We just had our 9th in October. I really enjoyed reading your posts. I too use Managers of Their Homes. How about the name Nathan? Names are so much fun. Your family is precious.

So, should I tell you that we haven't picked out a name yet either? :) We don't know what we're having though...

Some of the ones I've liked are:
Amos, Micah, Zebedee, Zakaryas, Samuel, Zebadiah, Jebidiah, Jediah (one of mine) and Azariah. That's it... that's what I've got. :)

I also wanted to let you know that I will write back to you as soon as I can... I haven't forgotten and think of you daily too.

Love,
Amy

We have three children, Noah, Jonah, and Grace. So since you already have a Noah, I guess I would vote for Jonah. But all the other suggestions are wonderful too. I love Biblical names. I think it tells people right off that there is something different about your family.

I just received your newsletter and then spent some time catching up on your blog, too. I have also been behind on my blogging. It was nice to hear how you were all doing.

You're all in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you all in your ministry. And God bless this new little one; may He provide the right doctor and the perfect timing for this delivery.

Blessings,
Belynda

Mar. 7, 2008 - Great suggestions!

I wrote them all down for consideration by the husband :) I circled some of my favorites, added a couple additional ones as well, and so we'll see what he thinks.
I love the name Jonah (as a few of you suggested), but that was the name of our family dog during my childhood/teen age years. He was around for about 14 years and I really wasn't "that" attached to him :)
Thank you all for your help!!

Nathaniel? I love that name! I especially like Josiah and Noah, but you've already used them. I have a Josiah too, but he was close to becoming a Noah. If I ever have another boy, I'd like it to be Noah. Nathaniel Edward has a nice ring to it. I only know one other Micaiah and that is a girl. It is close to Micah also, and John is close to Jonathan...

As for coming to Baja, I think it is San Quintin Valley. Is that near you? There is an orphanage there that we will be working at.

Hello! I just stopped by for the first time and added you to my friends list. Your family is adorable. I can't wait to come back and read more later- lest the littles plan a coup while I'm inattentive.

PS. Have you considered Silas or Simeon as a boy's name?
