We are off roading now

When I started this blog I was excited about our "Road to the Mission Field." This was the place I planned to record our family's journey to the foreign mission field. I wanted to share with the world God's awesome provisions and the miraculous happenings in our lives as we prepared to leave our family and friends for 4 years. My husband and I were in agreement that we would leave for Africa as soon as possible. We were going through what has become known as "the process" with our denomination's mission sending organization.

The biggest "first" step on that journey was our move to Texas for my husband to attend seminary. He needed to complete a certain number of hours before we would be qualified to serve overseas as career missionaries. It was an excited time as we prepared for our move. God was so faithful and his financial provisions were nothing short of miraculous. I shared our story with anyone who would listen singing God's praise loudly so they could know that only HE could accomplish such amazing feats. Everything was right on track in our little world... little did I know that was MY track not my Lord's.

fast forward a few years...

The past 3 years have been a roller coaster ride. The Lord has stretched us beyond what I thought was possible. I am now coming to terms with the fact that my plan is not His plan. And though I can't see His plan, it is better than MY plan. So join me now as this blog takes a new direction OFF ROAD! Only God knows where it will take us.
