Plush like kisses < 3

• Jan. 18, 2008 - Start of a new year! ++ plead inside.

Hey everyone!
hope you had a wonderful holiday and that your exams are going well. :]

I'm going to start out on the right foot (riiiight) and put this out there:
PLEASE do not post rumors and such without researching them and checking them out.

I can't tell you how many people have asked about the lead in charms and I know there are suits going around asking Ganz to look into it.
However, it's not said which charms they are -- if they're the webkinz charms at all~

Ganz does have other charms and accessories they sell.

& according to their site

Ganz takes great care to ensure its products comply with all Federal regulatory safety
standards. Should a question arise concerning the safety of a Ganz product,
Ganz will take the appropriate measures to investigate the matter and act in
accordance with the appropriate safety regulations.

With all the talk about toy safety, are the Webkinz toys safe?

  • Webkinz plush pets have passed all appropriate Federal testing under
ASTM F963, which is the standard consumer safety specification on toy safety.
Testing includes, but is not limited to, flammability testing, surface lead testing,
and testing for small parts and sharp edges.
  • All Webkinz charms have been tested and have passed the standards for lead
content in children’s jewelry proposed by the Consumer Products Safety
    Commission before shipping to customers.
  • All of our Webkinz products are tested according to standardized testing
protocols to ensure that they meet Ganz’ Quality standards before shipping
    to customers.

(ASTM: American Society for Testing and Materials,
CPCS: Consumer Product Safety Commission)

There will be clarification later in this issue, but please don't make more of a fuss then needed.
Don't put the charms in your mouth and if you are concerned put them away until this all gets cleared up.

Lead in pewter is natural, it's lead in paint and lead that is exceeding the advised limit where it should be a cause for concern.

THANK YOU everyone!

On a lighter note;

This marks the start of a new year for webkinz --- I've almost been playing for a year~
I've deleted ALLL of my old posts, and I'm starting from nothing again.

I've done a TON of redecorating since my old posts -- I wasn't happy with my old rooms at all.
Now my house is flooded with items and I can't find space for half my things~ lol.

I love decorating the rooms... it's really quite fun!
Of course, I'll be adding previews and design tips ^___~

As well; I'd like to introduce you to my new pets as well... I got them over the holidays, they're beautiful. :]
I can't wait to write some adventures about them and such.

Anywayyyyyyyys~

Here's what to look for in the new year:

  • Designing tips and tricks!
  • Naming advice.
  • Holidays webkinz style! ^___~
  • Craft ideas!
  • Knitting how-to.
  • Adventures in webkinz world.
  • Pictures in my garden. < 3
  • Party theme ideas! (for those birthday par-tays).
  • What to do with those DOG-GONE jelly trees! lol.
  • My opinion smashed in every page!! (of course!)

Above is a group photo of all my new webbies (virtual pictures of them).

Much luv everyone!
