My 1st Blog

         As I am writing my first blog I can see the sun setting on the beautiful fall leaves that have began to turn. It is a beautiful day. I love fall its not to hot and not to cold. I am so excited to began my own blog. I am so blessed to be able to hs my children.

 We are in our 2nd year of hs although I have realized that we have actually been homeschooling since birth. I feel that homeschooling is what God has called me to do in this season of my life. I hope by sharing my thoughts that I will learn and be an encourgement to others as they hs.

 We are using textbooks for the basics and I am checking into some units studies and notebooking we are stilling learning about all these other approaches but I am very interested in them.

 With only haveing homeschooled for a short time I have already learned so much, one of the most important things I think that I have learned is that no matter how many questions I ask or how many different ways that I try to do things in homeschooling. I have found that most of the time I already knew the answer or I was already doing it right and that you just have to keep trying until you find what methods work for your family. The Lord was leading and guiding me just as he said he would, and he will lead you if you just ask him. The word says we have not because we ask not. Confidence is as important to homeschooling as it is to all other parts of life.

Welcome to the world of blogging! You will love it and meet some great friends.
It really helps to encourage me in my journey. We have home schooled for 17 yrs and I still love it. I know it is what God has called me to do!

HI! I think you are my new friend IRL (in real life) ~ I did not know that the first time I commented LOL. Unless I am crazy. Some days I think I am.

Glad your blogging and it is really neat ~ I think of things too but do not have the time to blog and then when I do I have forgotten what it was LOL

My friend at www.homeschoolblogger.com/OreoSouza says she writes it in "word" saves it and then just copies/pastes it to her blog. That is a neat idea.

Also she prints her blog and saves it for a family journal. I like that idea and I have started doing that also.
