Count Down to the Day of Love
A friend got me to really thinking about Valentines the other day.It always bothers me about holidays that we all wait until 1 exact day to show our love or thankfulness once a year. You know how we all wait until Thanksgiving to be Thankful and wait until Christmas to celebrate Christ. I always think that we should be doing all of this all year. Some of us do but it is hard and I guess it just adds to the millions of task a mother and wife has to accomplish each day already.
We all know it is hard to accomplish our daily task and show our family how much we love them. Even though we try our best to do all of this through out the whole year. I thought I would attempt what I am calling a count down to Valentines Day instead of waiting for the day to get here. Beginning today I plan to do at least one special thing for my dh and children each day until V day and maybe end it with something a little more special.
I may leave a note for my oldest dd to read.
So if anyone wants to join in and do your own Count Down to the Day of Love. Let me know if you are gonna attempt it like me. You can share your ideas if you want to.
May your week be filled with lots of Love.

sounds like a great idea :) It makes me really get excited when I plan out fun surprises to do.
I think I will surprise dh with a night away! LOL I have never left Wes (and he is almost 4) so just not sure but .... I know he would love the time away to talk, relax, go out to eat and just some time with the two of us. I picked up some rose petals at walmart.... shhhhhhhhh do not tell!
last year I made little valentine pockets... well the children made them. Just construction paper folded and stapled and they decorated it.... and I left them a treat that morning :)
This year I have some Valentine's balloons .... and we are going to have cinammon rolls that morning with red/white sprinkles..... yum ~
have a great week~
blessings,

Harder Than I Thought
Posted by misty316
Oh my this has been harder than I thought I love doing these kinds of extra special things for my family. We have been so busy running in and out. We cleaned carpet to different nights until 4am so of course we slept late and I had less time to think this stuff out. I accomplished a little more for dh than for dc but I will have more time to focus on dc tomorrow through Wed hopefully because we will be back on our school schedule after the weekend.
