Time for School Again
Well I say learning is alway is session. However school is officially back in session in our home. We started back Aug. 3rd. It has been going great. Yes we have our hard days just like everyone else. For the most part though it has went well. I would like it to be a little more organized and routined. I never did get that entire day of lesson planning all to myself that I wanted, I mean needed. To plan everything out. We are getting it done though and thats whats important right now. We are using a mixture of workbooks and unit studys this year. ACE and FIAR ( Five In a Row) in case your new to homescooling and you don't know. Kaylee is loving ACE. She is learning it and it actually sticking better than before. Thats a plus it's always good if the child likes the curriculum right. We'll see how she's liking it by the end of the year though.

Living and learning
I am so excited I made my first loaf of hand made bread today. It actually turned out great. The girls helped me we had a great time. They loved kneading it. The best part was eating it though. Its not as hard as you may think. Now if I can just figure out how to cut it best so that the slices aren't so big or so small that they fall apart. I used the beginners bread recipe from www.hillbillyhousewife.com. We learned to bake and learned math at the same time. What better way to learn measurement than hands on or (hands in) the dough lol.
