Oct. 29, 2006 - My Hope is in God
I'm going to share a verse that was in my Bible reading today. It really
helped me, I hope it will help you too.
"Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her
roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat cometh, but her leaf shall
be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall
cease from yielding fruit." -Jeremiah 17:7-8
I picture a weeping willow when I read this. (One of my favorite trees!).
Here I am weeping because of what I'm going through, but I'm not without
hope. The Lord is my hope, and though I'm going through 'heat' right now, I
don't have to fear...my leaf will remain green and I will continue to bear
fruit. Isn't the Lord awesome?!
Well, need to get busy around here. I pray that your day goes well, and you are refreshed.
