Mar. 25, 2008 - sheer joy

The weather was looking a little nicer today. It was sunny and about 50 degrees so I took the kids out today instead of seatwork. It was still chilly but this time of year I'll take what I can get. We ran a few errands, Joey needed a haircut, and Jake had his 1 year check up. He was 21.5 lbs. and 31 inches. He's so fun right now. Giggling all the time. I love it when he climbs all over me. Emma has to join in too usually. I love it. Anyway we went to the library for a bit and then to the playground. Emma was so full of joy when we started walking toward the playground. She took off like a bullet. She keeps me busy but she is at such a fun age too. I love our little conversations. Her joy is something else. The littlest things make her exuberant. It's amazing. When we were coloring eggs the other day she was just so happy she couldn't contain it....today when she saw the playground...this evening while we were dancing to a Barney video. I just love, love, love that innocent, pure joy! Part of me just can't imagine the day when we have no more little ones running around. For now I just want to keep them little longer!
