Well, it's Saturday, my first weigh-in day. I must say I was quite disappointed. I expected, hoped for more. I lost 2.6 pounds. It's better than nothing. I'd like to aim for more this week though. I guess I could make even more changes.
So, this week at the Y, I was working out with my sis and she wanted me to try something. It was a slanted board for doing sit-ups. I said okay, i don't know why? I know what my stomach looks like. So I got on the machine, she threw me a weighted ball and I went down. Now I was suppose to come back up and throw the ball back to her. That's not how it went. I got stuck. I couldn't get back up. So, what did I do. I just released my legs and slithered onto the floor. I don't think I'll be trying that again anytime soon.
It was a crazy week. I've been sore and unfortunately I've been grouchy too. I did get alot done though. I cleaned the storage part of my basement. Took 10 trash bags to the goodwill! I also cleaned Jake's room. He has never really had his room decorated for him. He's been in there since November. He finally got a dresser and storage area. I also put up new curtains, a new comforter and some rugs. I got his closet all cleaned out too.
We are still in the full swing of school. I's a little hum-drum right now. I guess I'm just itching for a change. We are enjoying bible time and history. I am reading Henry Huggins to the little ones and they love it. I am seriously lacking in the hands on dept. I need help with that, it's never been a strong point for me. I really like how everyone shares their lapbooks. I have never done those. I don't even know how to start. Our homeschool convention in a month so I have begun some research and can't wait to see things in person.
Does anyone have an opinion on My Fathers World?
I'm pretty sure I know what my 7th grader will be doing....Sonlight Core 7, Apologia Science, Teaching Textbooks for math and Rosetta Stone Arabic.
I'm just looking for something more hands on/fun for the little ones. We have been doing Ancient World History so I'm going to switch to American next year.
I'd love any input! |
