Sep. 4, 2008 - my menu

First I want to tell you that one of my most un-favorite chores is grocery shopping. I try to plan everything out for a month and get as much as possible up front. Of course there are the runs for milk, fresh veggies and if we have company or have a pot-luck party then I will have to make an extra trip. Otherwise I try not to shop during the month. Some months I do better than others :)

So, today I planned my menu and shopped. Do you want to know what we're eating?

First, let me explain that I don't usually schedule sides. I always have plenty of potatoes, veggies and rice on hand. Also, we like variety. Atleast I do. Except favorites we don't usually have the same thing twice in a month. The meals marked with a (F) I will make a double batch and freeze one for next month or it was a recipe that I froze last month.

Shepherds pie (F)

Tacos (F)

Pizza

Italian Crockpot Chicken with pasta

Cheesy Pepper Soup and Quesadillas

Pork Chops with wild rice stuffing

Chicken Pot Pie (F)

Meatloaf (F)

Chicken Parmesan (F)

Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce (F)

Taquitos and Spanish Rice

Keilbasa

Swiss Steak (F)

Chicken Stir Fry

Chicken Chili (F)

Enchilada casserole (F)

Cabbage roll casserole (F)

Stuffed Pepper casserole (F)

Western Quiche (F)

Chicken on Cornbread (F)

Autumn Soup

Chicken Noodle Soup (F)

Chicken Tetrazzini

BLT's

Burgers (F)

Meatball Subs

Breakfast Dinner

And That's it!

Good for you! what a blessing you are to your family! I can never do a month out, but i suppose freezing does make that a bit easier. We go two weeks at a time. I happen to enjoy finding new recipes and making up a groecery list. Its fun to see what new things I can make!! I plan for every two weeks.
