Homeschool in the Pines

Nov. 29, 2007 - Bountiful Harvest

We used to have tons of deer peacefully grazing in our backyard each fall.   But then some doggies moved in next door, and our deer stay hidden most of the time now.

Sometimes they will venture out, very late at night or early in the morning, to see what our yard has to offer.  But the times they visit are now few and far between.  If they only knew what they were missing this year; nuts and acorns as far as the eye can see!

Here, Bambi.....   :)

Your pictures are great. This reminded me of when I lived in West Virginia. We lived out in the boonies and I use to set things out on the porch and all kinds of critters would come up to eat it. It was so cool.

Have a blessed day!

When we moved into this house, we would often get deer in our back yard early in the morning. Then we moved the dogs in and we never see them anymore. It makes me sad. :o(

Lovely images. Too bad the deer have disappeared. They are such beautiful animals. I know you miss seeing them around.

DH has a stand set up in the back of our land so he can hunt the deer. Now if he could just find the time to get up into it! We do enjoy watching them lay huddled close under our trees. They are beautiful!

Hope you are doing well.
