Dwell in Possibilities

Oh no, not toilet paper too!!

Ok ladies, this time they have gone to far.  First I find out about sanitary products, then toxic diapers, now low and behold toilet paper.  I mean really now, is it necessary?  In a few of my other blogs we talked about the dioxins in the sanitary items and diapers.  We know that the dioxins are linked to cancers, that makes me so adamently irritated by the way.  Come to find out that good old American toilet paper has the same dioxins as well.  It seems to make sense now that I think about it.  If we are using that who knows how many times a day, (for me alot, I drink lots of water") how much are we truly exposed to these harmful substances?  Let me say to much in my opinion.  I have already flushed the bad stuff out of my life.  Your wanting to know what the alternative is, right?  Well here goes.  You could make your own,  wait wait wait a minute,  I am totally kidding...  I don't make my own, but I have found some available from Green Forrest that is bleach and chemical free, also kind to septic systems.  Not only is this better for us to use, but it didn't cost anymore than regular old store bought  stuff.  Now how can you complain about that.  How now, if us mommies aren't aware of these things,  then our families go right along being exposed to these bad toxins on a daily basis.  It may not seem important, but I think it is in the long run.  Not only do I want to safeguard my family from harm, but it really does burn my biscuits to see companies make products that they say are good and safe for our families, and they just are not.  All the while taking our families hard earned money.  How sad.  As long as it is within my ability to provide safe and good things for my treasures, I will.  Anyway, I hope this has been useful to someone.  Next blog I am going to share about storing your food in plastic, and the stuff that leaches into your food.  If you like these kind of topics, let me know.  I don't want to bore the Lord's dear ones with my blogs

I hope everyone is well.  For you local ladies, you can buy the green forrest toilet paper at The Rabbit Food in Sevierville.  I am gearing up for some yard sales tomorrow.  The season has befun, I mean begun.  I am so excited to see what great things I can find this year.  It's like a treasure hunt.

In Christ Jesus,

Geanine

I think you will be surprised how many women want this kind of information. It is a growing "revolution" and some of us women are trying to take our families health back into our own hands. Keep it going girl.

Apr. 11, 2007 - toilet paper...

You sure do have a heart like mine when it comes to my family and their health!!! AND I am so thankful to have read this entry because I have gotten rid of so much in our life BUT that!!! What an eye opener!! I am going to be making some Mama pads (but praying I won't need them for long!!! I'm praying hard for baby #6!) and every month I don't use them I feel awful about it!!!
I cloth diaper my kids and am now trying to get away from paper diapers at night. I've always used them for the long nights and occasionally when we go and visit people. BUT I am feeling very convicted to just stop all together and deal with it! I LOVE cloth and so many people can't understand!
I was laughing at your "make your own" toilet paper thing more so because MY first reaction was "hm... I wonder how she does that!!!" haha Talk about being past the intimidation stage!!
I'll have to look into that brand. I think our health food store carries it... and the health food area of our large grocery store.
And I think my favorite part of your post was the "burns my biscuit" part!! I love it!! I just HAVE to move south!! hehe
