After reading poshred1's blog on tea, I decided to post a picture of my favorite tea cup. I love tea. I like trying different kinds. I dry some of my own, but mostly buy it. I have several tea cups that I really like, but this is my favorite.
My dd and I have had several tea parties at our house. We have so much fun preparing for our friends to come over.

This old podium was made by my childrens great, great uncle. It was being stored in an old barn, and was very dried out. My sweetheart rescued it, and we have revived it by adding lots of oils to it. I lined the shelves with some fabrics. One is my favorite toile design. Anyway, I use it for storing some of my spices, herbs, teas, etc.. It's also a place for my rolling pins. I like old things, especially when they are useful. I pray you are finding joy in your adventures at home.
In Christ,
Geanine

Hi Geanine~
How's life in the warm south? I must admit I am jealous. I am such a cold body that even when the sun shines into my windows here at home, I run to curl up in it. You would think I am part cat or something. Now tea...isn't it wonderful? You probably haven't been drinking too much hot tea lately if the temps. down your way are in the 80s. Your tea cup and saucer are lovely, as is your refinished podium. What a great storage area for your special herbs and teas. Homemade tea is not something I have ever tried making myself. Do you come up with your own recipes or do you get them from a book? My 9 year old daughter (the one who loves to garden) has a mint plant out back that is going nuts. She was wondering if we could make some tea out of it's leaves. Speaking of tea, I am starting to think I might enjoy sipping a cup right this minute! I think I'll close for now and fix myself a cup of chamomille with honey.
Blessings,
Pam (alias ladyjane)
P.S. Sorry that you didn't know my name is Pam. Ladyjane is my nickname from childhood, and I am honored to be called Jane if you desire. (smile)
