Red Kuri Squash

Here is some info about the Red Kuri Squash, also known as A Sweet Potato Squash.
Red Kuri Squash

A thick-skinned orange colored squash that has the appearance of an oblong pumpkin without the ridges. Inside the hard outer skin there is a firm flesh that provides a very delicate and mellow flavor similar to the taste of chestnuts. This squash is available year round and can be baked, braised, pureed, or steamed to be served as a side dish or used as a base for soups. Also known as a Japanese squash, Orange Hokkaido or Uchiki Kuri squash.

These are easy to start from seeds.

Geanine

Hi Geanine..
The house is in Blaine - population of 1,585. Just outside of Rutledge. Very pretty area.
We went to look at it today. It is old. Early 1800's! It looks old and outdated. We would have our work cut out for us. I thought it was 3 bedrooms but it is 5! Plus a den and a very tiny room that could be a small office. Lots of potential and the property is just beautiful. We have lots to consider though. We are covering it in prayer. We don't want to do anything in haste but we don't want to miss a good opportunity either. Whatever is to be will be.. God is in control.

I hope you had a wonderful mothers day. Mine was greatly blessed.
Love,
Maria

I just saw on Maria's blog that you'll be away during ATIC....hey, Panama City sounds FABULOUS though!!! I will miss meeting you....just another reason for us to come back!!

Thanks for the info on the squash...I'm gonna google it and see if it's something we can plant now...we may need to wait until fall planting though.

Have a Blessed week!

Shay
