I've had a day! First, the girls and I had dentist appointments first thing this morning. Rewind---actually the very begining of the day started with the girls waking up at 5:00am, both of them, in my bed, no sleep after that. Okay--so dentist appointments, I went first, and there was an issue with one of my cavities having a funny edge on the back of it. So my teeth were being cleaned and while she was flossing this very back tooth, the funny edge totally broke off along with half of the filling. So then the staff is trying to rearrange the dentist's schedule so he could take care of it today. So my teeth get cleaned. Kate got her teeth cleaned; she always does super. So while Ella was getting her teeth cleaned I had a moment to take Kate to school. Ella did fine too. So then the dentist get to work repairing my cavity. He starts drilling, ...and drilling.............and drilling, and then says, "Well, I think we need to talk about a crown." Ugh..first time for that. So after he continues drilling, preparing my tooth for a crown, he says..."I think you really could use a root canal, but we'll go ahead and go with the crown for now." He was very surprised that I had not been having any pain from this tooth before. So this was the dentist appointment that never seemed to end. I had only gone in for a regular teeth cleaning! Meanwhile, Ella was just roaming around the office, driving me crazy, but the staff there loves her and she ended up entertaining the ladies in the office part. 4 hours after we first got there, we were finally ready to go. Then I realize Ella had an accident at some point, so she was very late getting to school because I had to clean her up and feed her lunch. Thankfully she was very well behaived the entire morning, but at 4pm she was DONE being good. She threw a fit before going to gymnastics. This has happened the past 3 out of 4 times she's had gymnastics, and never before that. So once I had enough of that, I pulled her from the class. So I didn't lose that money I'd already paid for May, Kate is adding a third day of gym to her week, which she's THRILLED about. So we are just getting home from Kate's power tumbling class, and I'm tired, grumpy, my tooth and head hurt, and I'm hungry. Ella has had at least 4 accidents today. Tomorrow will be better. God knows I cannot handle 2 days in a row like today.
