A Poopy Day

DISCLAIMER: If the word poop or anything similar offends you.  I would suggest you turn around and run.  This post is not for you.  If not, consider yourself warned.

*****************************************************************************

I am having an interesting day.  I am having a much better day today.   It is amazing how a full night's sleep can perk up a person.  I actually slept last night!  It has been so long, I don't know what to do with myself.

It does seem the recurring theme for the day is poop.  It is only 10:58 in the morning and as they say on Sesame Stree, "POOP" is the word of the day.

I woke up bright eyed at 6:15 this morning.  I was actually rested, so I decided I could get up instead of waste my morning.  I went for a morning run, which was DELIGHTFUL!  I l have missed it so much!

When I returned home I picked up the little dog and continued on a walk down the street.  A few minutes later Gizmo started pulling hard at her leash behind me.  Poop was literally falling out of her as she walked!  I didn't know that was possible!  So, being the great dog owner I am, I stopped right there in the middle of the road because she was finishing her business.  Being a great dog owner again, I had nothing to pick it up with, and it was run over before I got back.  Did you know that dog poo actually does steam on a cold street?  REALLY!  It does!  I was shocked.  I thought steaming dog poo only happened in the movies!

You learn something new everyday!  i am going to tell my kids and count it as science class today.

I came home and started my day.  When I got out of the shower, I hear howling from the family room.  POOP!!!!   Yes, the little steaming poo dog just pooped in the house.  How does a little dog have that much in her?  Please tell me!  So I dealt with that.

Not ten minutes later my sweet #3 comes in with an announcement.  "I finally got the big bad poop out of me.  It is a good thing.  I have been saving it for a long time!"  She then gleefully skipped away.

AAAAAAAAAAAhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

We have a homeschool group activity in a couple hours.  I promised the girls if they didn't get the playroom cleaned back up that they would be staying home.  I heard some running water and noise coming from the bathroom.  I walk in with a warning, "I am not kidding if you girls aren't done..."  It wasn't them. JP was in the bathroom plunging madly.  The water was running and he was frantically fighting with some unknown offender in the pipes.  It seems to be a product of several people's business this morning.

JP vs. THE CLOG. I don't think he was winning either.

In the midst of the plunging, #1 runs in holding his nose.  "JoJo is stinky!  REALLY BAD!"  So I tracked him down.  He proceeds to the scene of the plunging and lays down on the rug.  What a mess.  All I can say about him is that we have NO worries about him having an efficient digestive system.

I decided I had enough of the poop, and I should finish getting ready to go.  I head to tthe bathroom to do put on my makeup.  When I round the corner, I see our four year old darling perched precariously on the toilet. Their rears are never big enough, and they somehow hang in the balance.  They usually prop themselves up with their arms, but not her.  She needed hers free.

She was reading a book.

I've had some of those days! But the sentence that stood out to me was - that you got a good night's sleep! Ahhh, I relish the days when those become the norm and not the "treat". :)

Babies Don't Keep

Cleaning and scrubbing Can wait till timorrow,

For babies grow up We've learned to our sorrow.

So quiet down cobwebs, Dust go to sleep,

I'm rocking my baby, And babies don't keep.
