Random Ramblings from the rebels

Jun. 18, 2007 - Something to say...

A certain friend often bugs, I mean encourages me to update my blogs regularly.  Tonight was such a night and I told her I had nothing to say.  This wonderful friend was quick to remind me that I ALWAYS have something to say.  She's right, just ask my husband...of course he'd add that I not only have something to say, but I always get the last word too.

As I sat here pondering what to blog about, Jay came upstairs...he was being errand boy and so kindly brought me a snack and a drink...LOVE that boy!  Anyways, he came up and handed me a poem he wrote today.  It's a wonderful little poem...you can read by going to his blog which is here...www.littlerebels.blogspot.com.  So, he brings me his poem and asked if I would please type each line onto it's own page in microsoft works.  Then he mentions he doesn't want it printed out, to just save it for him until tomorrow.  I asked what he planned to do with it and he casually said "oh nothin' much, I just want to make it into a book and I'm gonna draw illustrations on each page".  After thinking for a minute, I said "Jay how are you going to draw pictures if I don't print it out for you?".  He looked at me with *that* Jay look (those that know him know exactly the goofy grin I'm referring to) and said "I'm going to draw them right in microsoft works and then print it out and color them in".  I mentioned that there was no way to draw in microsoft works, and Kev jumped in and said, "ah, but you can draw them in MS paint and then insert them into works".  Again, Jay flashed that goofy Jay grin and said "that's too much work daddy.  I can do it right in works, just like this".  It took him about thirty seconds to teach us both how to do it.  This boy is gonna come in handy around here yet!  I think we should check into the rules and regs of having his start his own computer help business

I'm sure I could think of other things to say, but my snack awaits and a certain seven year old will expect his poem to be typed and saved first thing in the morning so I better get busy on that...I'm not near as fast on the computer as he is, so it might take me all night to get it right.

To have such a good friend!! Tell J to write an ebook on computer help stuff. He could make a good bit of money. Preparing for that future spouse.

Jun. 19, 2007 - Hey,

Maybe you could post it up here so we could read it. I know I would love to. That is if Jay will be so kind as to let his poem out to an astonished world.
Really, I hope you post it. :-D
