Cranberry-Strawberry Jam

Posted in Recipes

Back in December, I was asked to post a recipe for this jam. Since it has been rainy and dreary here this week and I really don't have much to post about, I thought I would post the link for this yummy jam!! You can find the recipe here.

I decided to try to find a recipe for this jam after visiting Cover's Apple Ranch a couple of years ago. They had a jam called 'Christmas Jam' that I just loved to have on biscuits, english muffins and bagels. Looking at the ingredients, I decided to search for a recipe and found the one above. Since cranberries are only available for a couple of months, I make sure I buy some extra bags and store them in my freezer.

I hope you decide to give this recipe a try!

I just made 2 batches of strawberry cranberry jam this week. We were almost out of jam, which is a crime in our house. I took some frozen strawberries from the berry farm down the road that I had frozen months ago in a 5 cup amount. Just enough for a batch of jam. Then I remembered your cranberry addition. So I chopped (food processored) 5 cups of cranberries to mix in for a double batch. This has got to be the prettiest jam. Then I got down in the pantry cabinet to sort what gets messed up by our 2 year old and put the jars of jam away and found a jar of blackberry jam from picking blackberries at the Hector's. And did you see the ad for blueberries and raspberries on sale at SaveMart??? When you run out of pectin, remember I have it in bulk.

BTW what happened to your husbands blog. It's missing.

Hi Yvonne!
This sounds sooo good - my DH loves cranberries. I'm going to try it as soon as I find a good price on them.
