Good day to all!
I'm sitting here, holding a precious angel who has drifted off to sleep...how close to Heaven are sleeping babies! Watching him rest so peacefully in my arms brings to mind that I'm sure I've heard somewhere that weekends are for resting...taking a break from "activity". I wonder how we are supposed to do that these days? It is a little after noon and our family has already gone to breakfast with extra kids in tow. Then our suburban filled with boys headed off to a church volleyball tournament while I took Emily, my goddaughter, to a monthly mother/daughter Keeper's Club meeting (mom was taking a much deserved retreat). Xavier then took Alex to the school to get ready for a football game-what ever happened to games on Friday nights-then he went to the parts store to get the car ready for inspection- then back to pick up the volleyball boys! We have to be at the stadium soon for the game and I would really like to find something better than stadium food to eat before we get there. Busy busy busy!
So, when does the resting begin? I think God answered my question by sending little Isaac to crawl up in my lap to snuggle. God can be sneaky like that sometimes...I rather enjoy it! It encourages me to see HIM in each moment of my day.
I love rocking my babies! Thank you God!
