Alex's "one hour" orthodontist visit took almost 2 hours. To save gas we camped out in the parking garage and read a Happy Hollister book and worked on some workbook activities. I guess that wasn't a total loss..... We also had a pretty good CCE session. My other "students" had NEVER had angel food cake before so we feasted on that and strawberries and cool whip while we had a great story and good discussions. We spiritually adopted babies and talked about the "angels" in our lives and how they've interceeded for us before. Fun class. Next week should be just as good.
Now I have a friend's oldest daughter BEGGING to be homeschooled. This is a child that would thrive on homeschool -but that has to be a family decision. My friend even admitted it is more an issue with her-not her daughter or homeschooling. I am not going to say anything-this is a decision that has to be discerned by that family. But secretly I think God is trying to tell them something.........I've learned to listen to God as much as possible these days....I will pray for my friend and her family that God's will is put first in all things.....
Tomorrow is another fun day...I noticed today that I hadn't even done my math lesson plans for this month-what was I thinking?!? I must remedy that "toot-sweet". We'll be going to see the Barber of Seville in the morning, having lunch in the park (hopefully.. depending on how long the opera is) then back to this side of town for art-coop. I know the Barber is a comedy but the only visual/ audio I have to connect it to is the remake of the Little Rascals where Alfalfa is singing in the contest......come on....you all know the one I'm talking about.....Alfalfa could never quite hit that top note and he had the bubbles coming out of his mouth.......So tomorrow we'll see how the Houston Opera compares to Alfalfa's rendition!
Sweet Dreams to All!
