Well we survived Friday. Alex played a GREAT game but sadly his team lost. They are such a young team with no experience playing agains 4, 5 and 6 A schools (they are a 2 A school!). Alex made several great plays (so I've been told by several manly football player guys) but half the time I couldn't tell cause they massacred his name so much-yes-Alejandro Timoteo Jimenez IS a lot to say but we seem unable to get them to call him ALEX. Sounded like this "and that 50 yard pass was caught on the 1 yard line by blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah ez. Really. It did. I'm learning to just listen for the jersey number-the play by number 25 blah blah blah.........
Saturday was busy busy busy. Xavier got up and took my son BACK to school for football practice. Then he came home and worked in the front yard. Might I add it looks mahvahlus! He even raked the dirt! So thoughtful! Now if I could just figure out how to landscape on a $2 budget and then keep my $2 plants from dying it would be perfect.
Then it was back to the school to pick up the boy who then declared that he wanted to get his hair cut! What? Doest mine ears deceive me? The boy? wanted a Haircut? OMG! So off to the barber we went. While they were over there I sneaked into Barnes and Noble with the little guy. I was looking for the book that has like 300 bird songs recorded in it. Everyone seems to be able to find it but me! Isaac was pretty good until we happened to see a Thomas the Tank Engine set up in the kids section. That was it-he yelled and screamed for "Thombas". About that time The Boy showed up and OMG! he has ears! and a neck! and eyes! and eyebrows!!! I only briefly mentioned the small mohawk thing going he had going-I was just so darn happy to see his face again!
Then we had lunch, went home where I baked cookies for a party later that afternoon.
The party was great but we couldn't stay for long as we had ANOTHER thing to go to. Our couples bible study was that night in a different town. So we dropped The Boy off with the little guys and headed off. It was a nice study and by 9:30pm we were back on our way home. By this time we are both feeling pretty yucky. Xavier mentions we need gas but we're both feeling so yucky we decide to just get it on the way to church Sunday morning.
Sunday morning, The Boy is up at the crack and ready to go. He had that new "do" to show the world. So we drug ourselves out of bed and got ready-one of our rare "dress down" Sunday's. I'm a stickler about dress for church but today I think they were lucky I wasn't there in my P.J.'s. Loaded everyone up in the car and guess what. Car won't start---------NO GAS! I think our guardian angels just pushed us into the driveway last night! So get everyone out and move car seat and load up Xavier's car!
After church we came home for a bit. Then I had an RCIA meeting back at the church. Got home from that to find out we were invited to watch a football game at a friends house. By that time I was passed out on the bed. I told hubby I would follow him later in my NOW GASSED UP car. I slept with the littlest guy for a long while but figured when I started dreaming about food I better get moving.
We're back home now and I'm just running on fumes. Hubby is staying home tomorrow to help run The Boy all over the place. I'm gonna take advantage of that and try and rest a bit. Wow I'm glad the week days are here so I can rest.
