I have a horrid horrid cold.  My head alternately feels full of cement or water.  I've been like this for 3 days.  I've slept most of the last 3 days.  Today Xavier made me grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch.  He HATES grilled cheese sandwiches but he made them for me and the kids. I think he likes me.  I'm trying my best to get well because he leaves for Phoenix, Arizona tomorrow right after Mass.  He'll be gone for several days which means I HAVE to be in at least semi-working condition by then.  Fortunately no field trips planned for the week-that helps.

Alex spent his "off" Saturday doing service project work.  At one point he had 4 service projects scheduled for today!!!  We pared it down to 2.  Poor guy left at 7:30 this morning and won't be home till about 11:00pm.  I'll let Xavier break the news to him that we'll be attending Mass at 7:30am so Xavier can get to the airport by 9am.........

One of the habits Xavier and I decided we need to work on is getting the two youngest into bed at a decent hour.  It is hard since our entire family tends to be such night owls.  I'll have to wear them out more.  Yeah, that's it....oh wait, Halloween is this week......that really throws a wrench in there doesn't it?  To make matters MORE interesting, I (in my cement head state) made a Denstit appointment for the 8 year old to get a cavity re-filled and possible crown ON OCTOBER 31~ What was I thinking?  I'm sure the dentist wouldn't want Cameron eating sticky, chewy candy.......

I'll write more on Halloween and our Catholic/Christian spin on THAT holiday later on this week......be watching for it!
