Got a call from our favorite sailor this morning! The ship is in port in Northern Japan for a few days. The connection was so much clearer so the two younglings and I were blessed with her voice for a hour! She misses us and we miss her SO much!!! That is THE hardest part of her job-the incredible distance she is away from us all the time. My beautiful baby turns 20 this Sunday! What a blessing she is and has always been to us! She kept her brothers in line so well and she was my right hand gal when it came to cooking and cleaning. The boys think they'll never see her again and it is so hard explaining her (as a sister) to a 2 year old who was too young to remember her when she left. I feel so much compassion for all our military fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters who's duty keeps them from hearth and home for long periods of time. I ALSO sympathize and pray for all those wives, husbands, sisters and brothers left behind who work so hard each day to keep their precious loved ones "present" to everyone around them......it is so hard esp for the littlest ones left behind. I don't know if I'm expressing myself very well and some people might not understand but that's ok.
So, schoolwork got pushed back this morning. I'm still sick but getting better. Xavier is off in Phoenix so I'm here holding down the fort.......
It's Monday..........I'm sure of it!
