Legend of the Pointsettia

Tonight we'll read Tomie dePaola's Legend of the Pointsettia

We'll do paper cutting to make our pointsettia flowers for our Liturgical Notebook.

The girls will have a beautiful plant to take home-Cameron will have one for here as well.

My husband had a good question: If the liturgical colors for advent are violet and rose, and the liturgical colors for christmas are white and gold.....where/ how did red and green gain the popularity they have today?."   Sounds like something I need to find out!

My journey along the Pathway to Heaven via the roads of marriage, motherhood, homeschooling and mentoring~the people I journey with, those I meet along the way, what I carry with me, what I leave behind. My journey is full of trials and obstacles, joys and surprises. Everyday is an adventure.....won't you come along?
