World Peace Angel
This is my "unfinished" project that I will be working on. My goal is to have it finished in time for my sister's birthday. I've stitched angels for all of my sisters and some very special children in my life. These projects are so big and take so much time and effort and patience that each angel is specifically chosen for a specific person...or in some cases has been requested by a particular person. I love counted cross stitch and making beautiful things from plain cloth. I paint with my thread. My favorite angels are designed by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum at Told in a Garden and at Lavender and Lace. http://www.tiag.com/background/marilyn.html She is truly a Godly Inspired Woman! I have yet to make anything for my own house or myself so that is another of my goals for this year -to make something beautiful (cross stitch) for my own home and for my family and friends to enjoy. I'm so excited about getting back to my stitching! I also got a sewing machine for Christmas so I'm hoping to learn how to sew and make things for myself and my family and friends!
The homily at today's Mass was about renewing and refreshing. Fr. Paul spoke to things that have been on my mind and my heart for the past several months. It was like God validating my decisions through Fr. Paul's homily. Thank you God! I now feel much better about stepping back from some ministries and refocusing on my family, my relationships with family and friends and my vocations as wife and mother. For a long time now I have felt that I was not giving my best to my family. Even though ministering at church is important, my first priorities should be to my dear husband and my children and even taking better care of myself. I know at some point I will be called forth by God again to minister to others in my parish and community on a deeper level but I know where I need to be , now, and I'm looking forward to it!
