Ok, hubby got a work call at O Dark Thirty this morning (actually 5 something).  It was NOT a major problem so he was NOT too happy.  It woke ME up which made me not too happy.  So we both woke the 18 year old up so he could share in this blissful early morning unhappiness with us.  The 15 year old got up on his own but woke the 8 year old up which made HIM unhappy so he took the dog to wake up the 2 year old which made HIM unhappy.  WOW....5 out of 6 on the Monday Morning Unhappy scale.....and actually, the dog will be going to the vet in a few minutes which will make HIM unhappy!

It can only go uphill from here.

I have hot coffee so I'm already moving in that direction.  Isaac has found his Thomas the Tank Engine Stickers and is happily sticking them on the 8 year old who is pretending to be happy.

*****Unhappy update 1.1.......Got the unhappy dog to the vet only to find out the vet was unhappy because he hurt his back and was in the ER himself this morning!!!  They had tried to call us but we had already left home and they couldn't find my cell number!  So we took the 18 year old to work then I had Cameron hold the dog till we got home again.  Now the dog is HAPPY!  No vet today!! 

I'm thinking we've worked pretty hard this morning already so we're filling up with bacon, eggs and toast!!!

*****Unhappy update 2.1.....Husband had to work late.  He called the 18 year old to start the fire in the bbq pit...(WHAT was he thinking....this is the kid? who lights Double Bubble gum wrappers for fun, remember?) so he was no help for me.  Think buzzard waiting over a half dead corpse....that was my 18 year old...perched on a chair by the bbq pit with firestarter and matches in hand.  Had to leave to go get the 15 year old cause hubby's working late.  Left the 8 year old with his cohorts in crime to listen to the older girl and finish their Religion work.  Their dad got there 15 minutes later to find them in a food fight!!!  I walked into the kitchen to find my 15 year old scarfing down my bacon wrapped filets that I had anxiously awaiting for a week.  Hubby walks in says hi and then leaves for another meeting. I have 2 more boys coming over later to spend the night.  Their dad has to have surgery in the morning and MY job is to keep them alive over night and deposit them safely at school at 8:30 a.m. after dropping off the 18 year old at work at 8a.m.

Today has felt like I was in a Marine bootcamp obstacle course.  REALLY.
