Ok it's 11pm and I'm just sitting down to take a breather....
Got a phone call from my Kyra this morning.....early......had to put my "counselor" and "comforter" cap on before I even got my eyes unglued from sleep. I hope I was able to help her.....don't remember too much of what I said.....
Got up late which meant I had to drag a very sleepy 2 year old and his brother along to go drop off Zach. Didn't have time to dry my hair so it's been a bad hair day on top of everything else...oh well.
Walked through the kitchen to find that the night before (the night I didn't COOK anything-we had plenty of leftovers), the 3 oldest males in my house used every single pot and pan and bowl in my house and left them in my sink and on my counter.....unwashed......."good morning to me"
Did our Operation Rice Bowl-we studied Cameroon (Cameron thought that was cool) and ate some surprisingly edible food. Had to leave to go get Zach from work (will be happy when the other car is usuable) and passed a big to-do around the corner involving multiple sheriff/constable cars.....scary.
Came home to put a cranky tired 2 year old down for a nap. I got a little rest as well. Hubby came home from his Dr. Appointment with 3 diagnosis and an appointment for an MRI tomorrow and then most likely surgery scheduled soon after. Possible torn Meniscus (like Alex had) or ACL, Tennis Elbow and something with his shoulder-can't remember now. He got some kind of shot for the Tennis Elbow (hello-don't know that I have EVER seen him pick up a tennis racquet) that he said hurt but should start helping in a couple of days.
Dinner was yummy meatball subs!
Cameron had soccer practice so Zach took him while Alex babysat Isaac. Xavier and I had a parent meeting at Alex's school. They are making their 2nd annual mission trip to Kingston, Jamaica this year to spend a week serving with the Missionaries of the Poor. Alex is really looking forward to this trip. Parents of students that went last year said it made a definite difference in their children. Mr Nichols-the Theology head-said with much emotion that it was inspiring, emotional and humbling to see his students meeting Christ in the poorest of the poor. There is basically no sight-seeing....this is a service trip-but we knew it was an opportunity not to be missed when we found out there were several returning students from last year that were so moved by it they wanted to do it again.! That alone speaks volumes for the department and the school.
Afterwards, we snuck in a little time to visit the local bookstore/Starbucks where I was glad to find some good bargains and some Free Trade Coffee Estima!! Tried a new one.....a Honey Latte! Quite good!
Home to bath a grungy 2 year old and now it's off to bed for everyone......whew!!!
Blessed night to all~
