Pathway to Heaven

Tuesday with Tammy

Today was a "blah" day.  Cameron got math done, went to art and bookclub.....that was it.  I got one load of laundry in the wash, then promptly forgot it (argh....I HaTE it when that happens).  I did get 7 of the 14 boxes of frozen cookie dough handed out to their respective "owners". Dinner was pizza because my dear husband had pity on this stress out, worn out, tired woman he calls wife.

Actually, my dear husband got more accomplished than I did!  He fixed both water hoses and worked with his car. He then watered the yard and kept an eye on Cameron who was practicing his newfound cycling skills.  He only had one tumble that required first aid which is pretty amazing for one of our boys!  His book club has finished The Black Pearl and is starting on a book called Stone Fox.  They will be making lapbooks (I'm excited about that-if Cameron likes the lapbook part, we'll incorporate more of them into schoolwork).

Alex's baseball team had another game this afternoon in Conroe.  They won-Alex got 3 or 4 hits, a couple of good catches.....and one dropped ball (yuck).  We had to go pick him up so on the way home we went to the store.  I and another friend in our church's women's group are going to provide the dinner for the monthly clergy meeting tomorrow night.  One of our deacons is diabetic and the rest are very health conscious as well so we picked out a good (diabetic) potato soup with some yummy sourdough bread-my friend is providing a sugar free dessert and a side salad.

Then it was home-we closed the day with Dora the Explorer popsicles.  Alex is still doing homework.  Zach is outside in the nice evening air talking to friends in Minnesota.  Cameron is watching a little tv with dad and Isaac is avoiding me (and the bed) like the plague-which is ok...I need some wind down time, too.

Tomorrow we'll drop off the clergy meal and really work on schoolwork.  Cameron has soccer and CCE in the evening.  My husband will do the Youth group run and I think I'll stay home with little guy to tackle some laundry.

Thursday I am hoping to finally put in some major stitching time.  Unlike a lot of other cross stitchers, I can't seem to bring myself to work on multiple projects at once.  Maybe it's like when you have to eat all of one food on your plate before you move on to another food?  I have at LEAST 3 other major projects that NEED to get done this year (not including my "Christmas" sewing.....).

Friday we are planning on attending the Youth Mass at our new Co-Cathedral down town.  We are contemplating going again on Saturday night for the Knights Mass as well.  Friday is also our monthly Bible Study meeting but it seems like not too many ladies will be able to be there.....even I will have to leave early to take Alex to the orthodontist.  Then we have a Manners and Learning Game day planned by another homeschooling mom.

Saturday and Sunday Cameron has a soccer tournament.  Sunday Alex has practice for a Quincinera and CCE.

Next week is quite interesting on it's own.....more about that later.....

I will ask for prayers....Kyra is shipping out on the U.S.S. Kittyhawk again next week.  We all have mixed feelings about that but it was her choice and she obviously needs a change of "environment" for a few weeks.  She is excited and knows what she is "getting into" this time and is better prepared.  We hope to get to see her sometime this summer or fall.......her brothers want her back NOW.........they miss each other SO much.......

On that note.....and the fact that Isaac just ran into my room and dived under the covers, I'll take my leave to go say prayers and snuggle a bit.....

till tomorrow.....
