Summer Days

So far this summer has been pretty laid back.  This week we have just been resting and taking it easy.  The boys are watching tv and playing video games.  They have been swimming and ridden on their scooters.  They've played in the sprinkler and watched their new fish in his aquarium.

I've been going through this past years school stuff and re-organizing and cleaning out.  With lesson plans to put together for 2 boys I wanted to start slowly getting things together.  For Isaac, I've chosen the Little Saints program.  There is a lot of stuff to do to get prepared but once we're all set it will be loads of fun.  We'll be doing Story of the World which has 42 lessons so we'll be starting that in July.

We went to the pool today with our friends the Guajardos and Richards.  Three hours.  In the sun.  Now, I did put sunscreen on but still got burned.  Have you ever cooked with stoneware?  One of the things about stoneware is that it keeps cooking for a while after you take it out of the oven.  Well that is what happens to me.  It didn't look too bad when I got home. Xavier was home waiting and he put some aloe on all of us.  We laid down and rested-and when we got up, 'Whala!" Instant lobster red mom!  It is stunning!  We're now doing Noxema and ibuprophen and lots of water but it hurts like crazy!!!

Had a nice quiet evening watching a movie with my hubby-haven't done that in ages.  Talked to Kyra in Japan...we really miss her!  Hard to believe she'll be 21 this year!!

Alex the social butterfly has been doing good keeping busy.  Today he helped cut down a tree with a friend.  Yesterday he helped Cameron bathe the dog.  He's kept friends around so he isn't too lonely.  He's got about a week left until his summer activities begin.

Zach is keeping busy at his new job.  It's working with computers so he's learning a lot, too.  I think he's decided to go to TSTC in the fall so at some point this summer he'll be going to the valley with his dad to make plans.

Take each day as it comes.....

I too am resembling a lobster! I am just floored and praising God because Sofia isn't a bit red. She had a blast. I guess it was worth it. Thanks for joining us and I hope you feel better soon.
