Yesterday was a landmark day for the 16 year old. His dad came home early and took him to get his learners permit (sounds like something school kids need before starting kindergarten....
). Dad told him that under no circumstances was he to complain about anything...the wait, the line, the crowd...nothing.
They pulled number 91......the DPS were on number 83 (or close to that). They waited, they filled out all their paperwork, they waited, they paid and they waited some more. Finally they call his number. When they finally enter the room they lady there tells them they have administered their last test of the day and he will have to come back on Monday. Xavier says you could just see the emotions running around Alex's face! He made some "it's ok son, you've waited 16 years, you can wait some more" speech. The lady again said that they could come back Monday=just walk in and take the test...no waiting necessary. They told her that unfortunately, dad was going out of town on business and Alex would be away doing some inner-city missions work for the entire week. Of course, Alex the drama king played it to the hilt.
The lady caved in and had the DPS administer one last test.....just for our little Alex. He passed with a 100%.
He's very happy!~
Stay off the roads people!
