Summer Days

Today was a bit chaotic but fun!  Cameron had his Godsister over to play-a rare treat!  I took Alex to Drivers Ed, came home and then 15 minutes later he calls to say he's done so I loaded everyone up to get him.  At home I worked on weeding through some 2 weeks worth of email and some laundry.  Lunch found us at McDonalds then on to Glazed Over where we met some other families.  Isaac painted a Purple Pig while Cameron got into his upcoming Ocean's theme by painting a Blue Whale.  Dear hubby got to work to find he had a flat AND his spare was flat AND his tire changing tools had been left here at home!  He was able to get some Fix A Flat and at least get to a Discount Tire place where he waited several hours (this is the man with the high blood pressure issues, remember) and ended up going ahead and getting 4 brand new tires for his car (while forking over a mucho pretty penny at the same time!).  I left a still painting Cameron at the Pottery place with the other families while I loaded an exhausted Isaac up (he was asleep before we left the parking lot) and headed back home to pick up Alex for an orthodontic appointment.  I took Isaac home after that while dad had pick up duty.  Cameron went home with his friend Caleb for a bit so I could sleep with Isaac (THANK YOU MIKI!!!).  Even Leo took a nap with us!!  Dad and Alex ended up doing some light grocery shopping on their way home.  Alex made nachos for our dinner while dad repaired the broken fence so Leo could go roam outside again without tramautizing our neighbors chihuahua.  Kyra called-she's headed off to the airport for a much deserved Hawaiian vacation.  Hopefully she'll remember my cookbook, state map and postcards!  Alex and his friend Hunter headed off to go to Alex's school's summer bowling and ice cream night-while Zach came home from work, showered, ate then headed off to go play pool with some of his buddies.

Due to this VERY busy, chaotic day, Xavier has put off their Valley trip to next week.  We all need the rest but most especially him.

Next on our summer "to do" list:

*replace ceiling fan/light in Cameron's room with just a light (Thanks Guajardos!)

*replace entire mailbox (homeowners association has declared it not pretty enough...need a new one...grrr...don't get us started on THAT one)

*replace Cameron's door and main bathroom door

*replace flap on dog door

Tomorrow we get to have Caleb over while Miki takes Noah to an appointment...we're planning on seeing Nim's Island.  Alex has Drivers Ed tomorrow-he'll be on the road between 12 and 2pm.....so beware if you are in the Alief/Houston area!!!

We'll be seeing some movies in the upcoming weeks...this is traditionally a rainy time for us so making sure that we have at least some out of the house activities planned is important for my sanity and gets the kids out of the house for a bit.

Every day is an adventure!

if she can. Just reading your day sounds exhausting. You need to relax lady! With your schedule, it's no wonder that Xavier has blood pressure issues. Take care of yourselves first guys - we wouldn't want anything to happen to ya'll! Enjoy your movie tomorrow.
