"There's a sucker born every minute"
July 5, 1810-April 7, 1891
Founder of the Barnum and Bailey Circus....which eventually became the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus.....today known as the Ringling Brothers Circus!
We are fortunate here in Houston, the Circus comes here every July. Cameron and Isaac have never been so this year we are planning on taking them.
Mr. Barnum was quite an interesting man.....adept at mathematics but detested physical labor, he was a great haggler, often having many enterprises going at once. He was the first to move a circus by train.
Things to do today:
*watch "Biography: Ringling Brothers"
*read "Twenty-one Elephants" by Phil Bildner
"website: P.E. with Circus Fit
*Purchase Circus tickets!

Hello! The circus will be fun. My little one has not been, but I took my oldest when he was little. I had trouble sitting through it. It was scaring the snot out of me!!!! lol!!! :) I was catching up on your blog and I cracked up about your formulating a unit study in your head while watching NIm's Island!!! Little One and I are studying oceans for awhile and so of course, I used it as an excuse to see Nim's Island again!!! (It's at the cheap theater!). Hubby found out what I was going to do and insisted on going with us again!!! lol!! I think Hubby and I like it even better that the children did. lol! :) Which Story of the World are you doing? I think I'm going to start reading the 2nd book to Little One (Middle Ages) soon. He likes medieval things, so he may enjoy it. I was hesitant at first since he is only 5 years old, but Hubby is reading through the Narnia series at night to him and Little One has not lost interest yet and they are on book 3, so I think he may be ready for it.
