I guess one of the signs that you homeschool could be that you not only know the process of mummification, you actually have the process going on in your kitchen (on purpose even!).

Well, we started the mummification process for King Cluckankhamen about one month ago!  I guess you could say he is still "surviving" .  When we started this project, my main concern was the smell and germs.  This project has actually gone so well that on occassion, we've actually forgotten he was there!  I told a friend of ours who's been asking about the process  that she was actually standing right in front of the King on several occassions and she was surprised that she didn't even notice him!  Well, only 30 more days to go......

This has been quite an interesting project.....
