Prayers

During our homeschool day we have a time where the children take turns and each day one of them gets to pick out a country on the map to pray for.  We have prayed for many different countries lately, Denmark, China, New Zealand, Bolivia, India, Iceland... and many, many others...
One day my oldest daughter Cameo, asked, "Mom, how are we going to know if God does anything in these countries?"  I replied to her, "I am not sure, but I have no doubts that He is working!"
Yesterday at church, we had a missionary from Bolivia come and speak with us.  He told us how God has been working and doing mighty things in that country! My eyes filled with tears as Cameo looked over at me and remembered what we had talked about!  After church was over we went and talked to Mr. Moffett.  He was thrilled for our prayers and I told him just how beautifully God worked out his coming to our church.  We signed up for a newsletter to keep us up to date about what is going on in Bolivia.
Here is some of the toys and money and books he brought from Bolivia.

God is so amazing... and I am so grateful for His Amazing Love!
Have a great day!
Love,
Chas

Mar. 10, 2008 - Children's program

Posted by Faith
I help with the children's program at church. We have six teams and each team teaches about a different country every six months. It is exciting for the teachers to learn about different cultures and to see the kids interested. After the last couple of sessions my group taught we found info about how God is moving in the countries we talked about. One time there was a head line in the paper about a group working to get technology into that country. This last time we taught about North Korea. Just days after teaching there was news about North Korea opening their doors to the New York Philharmonic. The first time they have opened their doors to an outside country in (I believe) over 50 years.
God is awesome in answering these children's prayers. That is so cool about the missionary at church. I would encourage you also to be on the look out for news of other countries. I pray that God will create "coincidents" for your children. I pray that they will be constantly amazed by our AWESOME GOD!

How cool is that?!?

I had to giggle a bit when you said you teared up. I would have been bawling over that. I tear up allll the time during school when I see how God has created and laid out things so perfectly. The kids think I'm nuts.
