CHCHC - Front Yard

I started the front yard last week when I did the landscaping bricks.  You can see those here.  (Look there for a before picture of the front)

I decided to move the daffodils from the side to the front.  They weren't blooming there anyway.  I put away the snow shovels, and the chair that was sitting there all winter, not being used.  My mom raked the front yard and got up alot of leaves and dead grass, but you can't really see that in the picture.

I raked out as many leaves as I could while trying to get as little mulch as possible.  Our side yard is a wind tunnel and we have alot of leaves and garbage collected there.  My mom and I raked the grass of all the leaves and dead grass.

AFTER:

(I even got rid of the girl that was cluttering the lawn... heheh....)

We still need to get the left over bricks put away, and edge the lawn, and weed and feed, but I am still hopefull  that my hubby will do it.  Otherwise, I will do it next week when it warms up again.  We also need to plant seed, but we can't do that until we order some more dirt for the garden (that's what killed the lawn last year).

About Me

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
