Good News on the Homefront

Posted in Household stuff

We were thinking about moving these last few months because we heard rumors that they were going to build apartments a couple blocks down from us.  In this neighborhood, apartments mean your house value will be going dooooowwwwnnn.  We just found out that in no way will the village be putting up apartments.  YIPPEE!!  They might put up condos, specifically over 55 condos, or they might just make it a nice park.  The bike path will run right through that area.  Which is another good piece of news.  They are FINALLY working on the bike path.  I am so excited.  They had plans to do that when we moved here, 4 years ago.

We have some businesses down the street from us.  They can get noisy, but the worst part about them, is the truck traffic.  The UPS truck comes by at least twice a day, if not more.  Then there are other trucks, also.  AND sometimes semitrucks.  We live on a dead end street, but get SO much traffic.  When we moved in, rumor had it that they were behind on their taxes and that the village would eventually tear down the buildings.  Well, we just found out that the villiage bought them on Tuesday, and that they have till the end of the month to get out of there.  YIPPEE!!  Then the buildings will be leveled!!

And the best piece of news.  My raspberry and strawberry plants arrived today!  I can't wait to get fruit from them!

Good news all around here. That's great. Now we can turn your yard into something like I've seen out here. The truck will be delivering one thousand assorted plants on Friday so get the shovels ready.(I wish.) But definately you need more roses, camelias, a gardenia, more lilacs, some azaleas and ...............Hey, what a coincidence that they are building condos for over 55. Did you guys talk the city into this? HMMMMMMMMmmmmmm........ Love ya, Oh wasn't 24 and Prison Break keeping you on the edge of your seat. B was getting the two confused in his head as to who was doing what where.

About Me

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
