For my birthday (the day after) we went to The Morton Arboretum. We had a nice time. The kids behaved wonderfully. Baby B sat nicely in the stroller and the older kids obeyed. It was amazing. Here are some pictures:
...I would drive over to Morton myself; ds would LOVE the aboretum! Me too, actually. However, I do not drive in big cities...and that's near Peoria, yes? Too scary for this yellow-belly!

LOL about your comment on my blog. When I heard Illinois, I thought of you. And honestly, on one level, the idea of moving to Illinois does sound awesome. It'd be new and fresh (to us), plus a big old backyard and a drive away from the city sounds supercool. It's just that I'd have absolutely NO ONE there. Sniffle, sniffle ...
Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
