I am horrid. I am so sick of the kids bothering me, I have had the tv on all morning. Someone take away my trophy for mother of the year. Oh wait... I don't have one. Here is a picture of my oldest: I'm sorry, but sometimes, he can just go on and on and on.....And here is a picture of my 4 yo when I tell him to do his chores: Here is Princess C hopping around with no clothes because she is being potty trained: Here is me chasing baby B all over the house:Fun times I tell ya.....
Don't feel like you are horrid. Being a mom is tough! If you could be a fly on the walls of everyone around HSB, I think you would most likely feel a whole lot better. Because none of us are perfect, either. (OK, well there might be some pretty perfect ones, but I am just not one of them LOL)
I can relate to everything you shared, and if it makes you feel better, I have plunked my kids in front of the tv to give myself a break from the fighting/whining/etc many a time. Actually, I have found it can give me time to go get a better perspective on things.
I will be praying for things around your house to calm down! Take care!
Blessings,
Jen
One day they will be grown and gone, I think. I keep reading about how quickly they grow up and those times are gone. I read one really encouragein thing about how once they are older we want them to talk to us and we suddenly have new best friends. It is hard now to believe that is possible.

Hello,
Found you through a fellow blogger's site. I could have written your post. I always feel like the world's worst mother, well 98% of the time. Hang in there, it is bound to get better!

How do these people get inside my home, ALL THE TIME! (this is not the first time this has happened)!!! Someone stole your mother of the year award too, the one you never had?!? Do I have a secret identity that's secret to even ME?
Too funny, and I'm with you Sherry, I bet her award is hidden..... somewhere.
I think we have all felt bad for not living up to our own ideals of what we think we Mom's should be. May God give you the strength to go to the heart of all the little pesky issues.
Hey there. You did it. It describes my life except that I have only one little 7 yo who does all that except the potty training. Ha ha. By the way, I am also preparing for a party on Sunday. Will pray that God will give us both great times and wonderful family togetherness. Bless you and you can keep the mother of the year award which I don't get either. Have a happy day chasing the littles.
Blessings,
Ai Boon
Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
