Ok, so even with all the things going on over Christmas break, we still managed to squeeze in just a little bit of learning. D got a totally gross chemistry set type thingy, so my brother did one of the experiments with him. It was corn starch and water. It made a goo that when punched, it because hard.

It was the strangest thing. When drops seperated from each other, it turned dry, but then when pushed back together, it was wet again. Really, really weird.... (Don't you just love the lab goggles?)
D also finally got to set up his fish tank. My brother took him to the store. My poor son needs my brother around....

He got 5 fish, a snail, and a frog (he used his own money to buy all this). The frog is the neatest thing! It is just so cool to watch him swim around, and sometimes, if the house is quiet enough (HA!), you can hear him making noise. Way cool.
Baby B learned how to walk. He had been taking a few steps hear and there, but once my family arrived, he really took off. Queen B practiced walking on our hippo walker and had a blast doing that.

She kept falling, but was cracking up the whole time. Boy do I miss her.... It took her almost the full two weeks to warm up to us. The last two days, I think, she finally would allow us to hold her. Y got a good pic of us together, but it is on her camera, so I can't post it. I hope she uploads it to snapfish soon.. hint, hint!!
I had cooked a Hanukkah meal for everyone when my family was in town. That was fun, but alot of work. You can find pictures over here at my mom's blog. My brother read a blessing that was supposed to be read when you light the candles, but, oh well. It was neat anyway. He pronounced the first part well. (He had heard it before on tv and stuff.)
I will end with a knock knock joke that my 2 yo made up all by herself:
C - "Knock, knock."
Who's there?
C - "Choo choo train."
Choo choo train who?
C - "I want pizza."

So, who gets to clean the aquarium? We are thinking of getting one of those hose things that you just put one end into your aquarium and one end into the sink and it drains it for you. 'Cuz that aquarium cleaning bit is quite a lot of work.
