Babymakers had a neat entry on character.  She will be teaching her children one new character trait a week found in the Bible.  I am joining her on this.

This weeks is appreciative.  She posts the definition and a scripture to go with it.  I printed it out and stuck it on the fridge.  My oldest copied it into his scripture notebook, and my 5 yo is tracing the letters for it.  I also had my 5 yo draw a picture and then tell me a story to go with it about something he was appreciative of.  I was thinking it would be toys or something of the selfish sort.  This is what he came up with:

 "I am appreciative to Jesus for dying on the cross.  And I love Jesus and he loves me.  Thank you for dying on the cross.  In Jesus name I pray, Amen."

I am so proud of him!

And speaking of "N", he says to me talking about his chapped lower lip, "Mom, right here, is chipped."
