Who I Am

I saw this at Dy's. The question is, "What do you look like in this season of your life?" I started looking for a picture that would best describe me. Then, I just figured I would settle for a picture OF me. I had to go back to Nov, but his picture pretty much fits how I feel. Even when I don't have all the kids hanging on me, I feel like I do...

How can you think of yourself as blah looking? You are totally cute. And I like the expression on your face! = )

I wish I could say I liked what I look like in this season of my life, but with baby weight still hanging on, I keep thinking this, not as a season, but as a brief storm that I've got to work through and emerge to my true self. In my mind's eye, I am so not at this weight. The real me is buried under 30 pounds. Oy!

I love the fact, by the way, that your kids are all over you. I often feel like a Christmas tree, my kids as ornaments.

Oh, you're so beautiful! I love your smile, and your eyes. And your SKIN! Gah. Now I can see where those kids get their sparkling beauty from.

Thank you, thank you! Now I have a picture to go with the lessons, and the bathroom adventure, and dealing w/ the village ... ;-) Cool!

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
