We went and looked at 8 or 9 homes on Thursday.  Only one of those might work for us.  They all sound so good on paper.  The house we have now was built in 1927.  I LOVE it.  So I figured I wanted another old house.  So when choosing which houses to go look at, I chose all the old ones.  Live and learn.  Old farm houses have creepy basements.  And I mean CREEPY.  UGH.  So I went back over the list and chose some newer homes and even some without basements.  I never wanted to live without a basement until I saw those on Thursday.  That's how bad they were.  One of the homes, when you went down the stairs, the brick wall was pushing in, crowding your way down.  How is that safe!??!?  Oh well.  Hopefully the next set we see will be more promising.  The one house we liked, only had one bathroom and that needed to be redone.  I really do NOT want to do that again.
