Homeschooling in Illinois

And It Begins

My house is officially up for sale.    I love my house.  I had a long list of things to do by today and I have been working on it nonstop.  And ya know what?  I still have a long list of things to do.  But boy am I tired.  My body aches and is tired.  The biggest job was getting the old tile off of the back porch.  There was only a small section left, but that stuff has been glued down for 50 years.  That was hard.  Then I had to sand the floor and stain it, and my hubby put on the polyurethane.  It needs another coat and maybe I wil have enough energy to put it on tonight... but I doubt it.  I also have to finish painting the upstairs ceilings.  I am quite sick of painting.  And I am almost half way finished cleaning all the carpeting.  Those are the big things.  Oh, and clean the basement...  Yeah, that's a huge one.  I have a habit of filling baskets and boxes with the kids clothes they out grew instead of putting them in the correct bin right away.  So they are all mixed up.  And I HATE dealing with clothes.  It tuckers me out.  I could never work at a clothes store.  Inspite of everything being half done, my house looks very nice.  Alot bigger and cleaner with everything packed and the walls painted.  The sign in my frontyard says, "I'm gorgeous inside".    Hopefully now I will have more time blog and be back here regularly again.  I miss it.  It's my only hobby.  Ta ta for now!

WOW!!!...You know, we've been talking about selling your house and stuff...and all of a sudded it's like BOOM..it's all real and happening soooo fast!!!!!! It hit me for the first time that we'll probably never stay at that house again....:( Boy did it make me sad to think of that!.... I have so many wonderful, such warm and sweet memories of the times we were visiting with you, guys..My very first visit when we were dating...visiting over the spring break in 2003 when we were planning our wedding... playing with D and N ...reading books to them...eating all your delicious meals in the dining room...playing games and laughing together...carrying C around when she was little...watching babies A and B together...and how many Christmas mornings have we had there together!!! BOooooooohooooooo........
Sorry...I really didn't mean to get so sentimental but it just happened. Figured would get it out now and encourage you later when you'll have your own teary memories flood all over and you'll really need the encouragement! :)
Love you, sis........It'll all be worth it because Jesus ALWAYS has something better for you...

I know you've taken on some exhausting work. It'll be so worth it in the end. But man, does my back ache just reading about it! Oy! Keep up the great progress, but yeah, definitely take more blog breaks. It's, um, good for your... sanity! Yeah, your sanity!

About Me

Oh, the crazy things that happen in my house.... I am the wife of M for 8 years now. I am the mother of a 10 yo boy - D, 6 1/2 yo boy - N, 4 yo girl - Princess C, 2 1/2 yo boy -Toddler B, and girl Lil' L born May 18. I've been homeschooling since 2003. I lean towards a Charlotte Mason approach, but more often than not, it's "whatever works".
